Hi there! It's been a while
Lost the mood for drawing again,, It's been happening alot lately. But now I'm Back!
I'm testing a new paper again. Not really sure what it is called, but I like it a lot so far! The woman who frames my work gave it to me.
I hope you can see who it is!
I will probably scan it next time...

thank you! the thing about drawing white hair is that you don't actually draw the hair. You draw everything between the hair and use the white in the paper to act as hair

question. do you have any advice for getting the face to be in the right proportions? i have trouble getting the distance between the eyes and the nose and lips right. any tips on how to improve this?

You can measure with a ruler to get the proportions right, or maybe a grid or something.

no not really. The white areas is the color of the paper. The only thing specific I use is a kneaded eraser instead of a normal one.

Keep it up, I'm diggin the work you do. I'm a comic guy(to generalize) so I realize and respect the visual attention it takes to capture the realism you can get onto paper. Kudos man.

Wow. Again, this is one great WIP. Even in this state if it were a finished piece this would be great.
Question: Maybe in a future WIP can you show us how your work ethic is? I'd love to see how you start off and what preperations you make.

Yes I have promised my watchers that I will make a tutorial one day.. and that would include how I start a drawing. This drawing was just an impulse, so I don't have so many pictures of how I'm making it. Just a couple before this one.

So what kind of sheets do you normally use for graphite art?

I often wright what paper I use on the artistcomments on my drawings. but on my most popular work I have used Canson (85lbs).
