"Just a little louder you two, you're doing great!"

As it had been all morning, the Apple family's barn was filled with the squeaking, chirping sounds produced by the pair of foals that sat across from Coloratura, the older of the two singing his heart out while the younger was distinctly withdrawn.

"That's it, boys," Coloratura said, encouragingly. "Rainbow Harvest, sing more from the diaphragm please--right, just like that! Acoustic Performance, sweetheart?"

Acoustic Performance choked on the song's lyrics, looking from his friend to his teacher, before before swiftly dodging behind Rainbow Harvest's wing.

"A-Ace?" added Coloratura, surprised. "I was just going to tell you you're not being quite loud enough, that's all."

Uncharacteristically, Ace kept his face buried in the pegasus's freckled wings, not even peaking when their teacher spoke.

"Well, okay," Coloratura said, clearing her throat, "Harvey, let's work on that warbling, eh? Now, follow my lead..."

As Coloratura sang out a beautiful 'do re mi' and so on, Harvey sneaked a glance behind his wing.

"Watcha bein' shy 'bout, Ace?" he whispered, "That ain't like ya!"

Ace peered up over Harvey's shoulder, purple eyes landing on Coloratura now that her own were off of him. The pegasus noted, blinking in surprise, that his friend's face was flushed with pink.

"She's really pretty in person," Ace squealed in answer.

As promised, the winner of the poll, AppleDash nextgen art! But I didn't want just do contextless stuff of Harvey and his moms, so I decided to make this more about a part of his and his best friend's childhood--when they were tutored by the lovely Coloratura! When Harvey found his special talent, music (specifically playing string instruments, however he never plays without singing), Applejack proudly got him lessons from her old friend Rara. Hearing about this from Rarity, Sweetie Belle was able to get her own little musical prodigy squeezed in there too Little Ace had quite the crush on Rara, Harvey doesn't really get it
