Description Thanks to for making the mesh originally and thanks to everyone else for the help and support. Model has 68 bones. multiple flexes. This works quite well in SFM and is a ragdoll as well for Gmod. But! You need to have the joint tool for the eyebrows. Report issues if there is any. I most likely will have updates for this model to touch it up since this is the FIRST TIME I've done something this difficult before. I normally stay away from organic modeling. There are some bugs for the flexes and I'm looking for a fix *might be a Source engine issue*. Thanks to for making this image and the others for testing the model quickly for me. Update: Added finger posing *thanks to BeardedDoomguy for that*, fixed a small texture issue, tuned some of the vert weights so fingers bend better. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles… this link here for people too lazy to drag and drop the files. Please I'd rather no one did. Reason is that I'm still working out kinks in this model. *plus my uploader doesn't work sadly due to an error 16*

Thank you for letting me work on this model and porting this to Source. There are some issues with it. But that is due to Source engine.

Also, I noticed you were talking about using seprate VTA files and hitting some kind of limit. Can you describe the error you are getting? The Overhaul pony source files have well over 20 vta files each and I don't see this model having more than that. I know quite a bit about flex making in source and would be happy to help you figure out this problem.

The Vta is about 130 MB and Source's is 128 MB so I've heard. I think this may be the cause for the flexes to snag random verts it shouldn't be. I made sure in blender that it's not on my end causing it. I was told that DMX format solves this issue though. But I can't get him to compile due to an access violation error. It's not easy to see as long as you don't over do it on multiple flexes at full. But it still bothers me :/.

do you have the newest of blender source tools installed? I recently made a model with 16 flexes and the vat exported was only 4 MB. I know a few older versions of BST had a problem of exporting more vertex positions per flex than necessary which caused file size bloat.

hmm, the newest version is 2.1.0. I suggest updating them and reexporting the key shapes from if possible. I hope that helps, if it doesn't, I might have time tomorrow to take a quick look if you'd like. I can't say I'll be able to fix it, but this problem intrigues me as I have never encountered it.

Updated. Nothing changed. Welp I have been talking to Rebbacus and some of the other open SFMers and either they don't have this issue or they don't work with Vtas. I was told by another person that DMX should solve the issue. If I could compile the damn model as such. If I can't get it in a little while. I will let other people try to solve the issue. The eyebrows are able to be controlled separately for more fun. The fingers. I just need to rename them. Thanks to BeardedDoomguy for teaching me that .

Well I'm at the limit of the vtas I can't go on making really anymore. Unless I get him exported as a DMX *which I tried* I will make the gmod one have the renamed finger bones though. So SFMers get to keep the normally named fingers.

Fine job, I need to find the time to mess with this.

We're you not able to find out how to rig finger posing? A shame, but that's survivable. Might want to still look into it, though. There's people who found out how to rig various non-hand extremities to finger poser, so it could be a good trick to know.

If you use the joint tool. It's more like SFM. So it's not too hard.

if at all possible, im not used enough to the joint tools workings yet to make confident posing with it, hell im still try figuring out what messes with what on which models. cant speak for everyone else who plays gmod more often than i do and use the tool as well
