Thank you so much. I'm definitely starting to get more of a grip on his default look.

Makes me really curious what has happened to this poor chap. I'm not sure if the emphasis on the red of his nose has a point, if so, keep it. Otherwise I find it distracting my eyes from the rest of his face. Superb work with creating light on metal.

It is a little distracting, I agree, but it's part of the design for the red war-paint/tattoo on this character's face. I just found having the red tat be b&w too dull and confusing in this image so I decided to make the tat show its true color.
Thank you so much!

I see what you're getting at, but if I might suggest. give the wet light to his right cheek. That's what I judge the light would be, from below or above is not easy to say.

Ah, you're right. Or at least lead the wet light more on the nostril than the tip? Simply because the cheek might not shine as the skin on the nose would.
Certainly something to consider for next time. Thank you.
This was a quick drawing, but I need to be more mindful of the light's movement.

I hope you don't take me wrong. You are a very, very good artist, you just don't utilise light to it's full extent. Not everyone can (a few wrong strokes and it's ruined (the eye doesn't lie)) but you  could. Your primary strokes are that good.

Not at all! I found this very helpful, thank you! I always appreciate constructive criticism, and your comment actually made me see the issue with that bright wet light in a dark spot, it turned the head more than is natural.
And thank you for the compliment.

Wow! Incredible texturing of the scars - and I love how the red stands out against the black-and-white clour scheme!

Thank you so much! Scars are definitely some of my favorite things to draw.
