Welcome to the Nightmare.This is my new Inside Out villain Nightmare. He is a vicious tyrant with no care for anything other than pure malice, hate and destruction.
He of course is the creator of Nightmares and terrifying dreams.
I hope you all like him.

Well this is new! Nightmare seems to be the type of guy that would torment it's victims with nightmares till they become completely insane.

Ooh now this is just wicked, love the design! This really stuck out to me, as far as Inside Out villains go. This is truly a freakish monster, and is totally deserving of the name "nightmare". If I saw this being I would be terrified too. I love the multiple teeth, the soulless black eye sockets, and especially that vibrant evil red eye. It's just such a brilliant design, amazing job.Β

Yes, I thought the original concept art of him was far too skinny and short, considering he is a 26ft beast, so I thought, I need to seriously bulk this guy out and make him look like a pure power house haha.
The eye is actually a spoiler alert on my part, but hey, it just seemed so fun to draw XD
Ooh, well he is the one that causes Nightmares, hence his name haha XD

It took me a while to think about the colour pallet he would have. I thought, he is a skeletal beast covered in masses of jagged teeth as armour as his weapon and defense, so I had to colour him in a way that showed they were teeth on his body and not purely smooth bone. The fibres had to be shown.
Ahh yes, he is pure evil and gets a kick out of causing the emotions trouble. He plays mean games with them in my upcoming story.

I agree with the others that you colored the eye beautifully. It's got great shine and depth.Β Looks round, moist and alive. I saw. At first I thought 13ft, but I thought, no that is far too small and as 13 is my favourite number I doubled it and got 26ft so I'm happy with that height. He will however have the ability to grow and shrink at will to any size he wishes, but his usual height will be 26ft.

How Tall is your bad boy/girl?Ok this is something that for me is very important and I think a lot of artists and writers don't give this detail much thought. How tall is your villain? Β Of course for our group our villains are all inhabitants of the minds so in reality they'd only be measured in microns and seen in a microscope. But we're talking relatively. Β That means everything in the mind/brain is to scale with the real world. So by that a brain is actually the size of a planet. A small planet perhaps, smaller than Earth, but still a world. Β So if these characters were sized to the human world they'd be measured in feet/centimeters.
I know that funny enough I have one of the smallest characters. Just look at the group photos. I love Scary Fear is the tiny one. Β Well he's one of the most powerful though so he doesn't need to be big.
Scary Fear is 5'10" until I decided to change that. This is assuming that Joy is 6' in the movie Riley's Fear is the second tallest. Β So 5'10" translates to

Yes, I thought hmmmm he is a large, bulky, skeletal beast, he needs to be very, very tall, like my Jester I created a while back. I will draw the two together soon I think.

Thank you, he was based on my jester that I created a while back, only I wanted him to be more menacing and sadistic looking. He needed to look like a nightmare to suit both his name and role.

Ooh yay, that's what I was aiming for, so I'm glad you explained his eye to do that.
He only opens his eye when absolutely necessary,as it is painfully pulled together with stitches any other time.

Yes, he has three rows of teeth. I am thinking of him having multiple mouths under them or maybe just one under there full of even more teeth.
He will cause some real trouble for the emotions and the mind world.
I have pre-writen a chapter in which he mercilessly toys with the emotions and strikes them with their weaknesses. I won't spoil it though π
