Description
Eki (almost one year old) + her two plushie crocs. In response to ...
"She so loved them. Had them since she was a kitten. When they fell apart a couple of years after these photos were taken (from the many washings), we bought her a few other types of plushies (this design was no longer available) but she rejected every one. You can imagine how frantic we were."

hahaha ... thanks to your mum too! JB's still as big as in that pic, but no any bigger, and she's still active and alert, her appetite is good, all vital functions are ok, so we are grateful.

That's great news! I had a maine-coon runt that lasted almost 18 years, ran off and died of an aneurism 12 years ago. I also had a brown-and-black striped cat with the same little 'm' on her forehead, she was called Iggy....died at 3 playing chicken. Bohnome (French name, mom's idea) was the one who lasted 18 years.

Yeah. Iggy played chicken with the cars that drive-by on the highway and 'Nook-Nook' died of an aneurism at 18, never have found his body.....

sooo sorry to hear that! we had quite a few that died out here too; some on the roads, and some we will never know what happened as the bodies were never found. Are you planning on having more?

Once our 2 crazy-ass dogs are gone mom might get a hairless. But that is a very long time away.
And yes, I do mean crazy-ass.....they bark at just about anything.....they beat each other up so bad and the way they play you'd think they're killing each other!

ahso! Well, thankfully, we humans have much longer lifespans than our furry friends, so there's still plenty of time left for you to have more cats!

I dunno if I want a 'nother cat tho. The dogs we have are pretty entertaining. I wish I could upload the pics of our oldest (who is use to cats) -snorts- He's gotta be mixed with a yellow lab at some point, he's pretty docile most of the time.

And np, your kitty is so cute! Did you ever find a plushie that he liked after the crocs?

pergamjee In reply to Kimimi72 [2011-06-16 02:12:46 +0000 UTC]
yeah, that's good, eh? I'm using it for my webcam pic right now!
Nope, never found an acceptable replacement plushie. Some of those we bought we thought were good candidates as the material and stuffings felt the same ... but her royal highness said no Ah well, she is 20 years old now and has found other fun things to do.

Aww well, she's a cute cat! My cat never got attatched to plushies or anything, but at the smallest site of string she'd go insane and just have to try to either chase it or eat it.
Cats do some weird things sometimes

pergamjee In reply to Kimimi72 [2011-06-16 03:23:21 +0000 UTC]
ahhh yes, strings! Most cats would go crazy over that ... but you know, right, that string-games should be supervised and the string removed after the play ... all sorts of danger like getting strangled from the string becoming wound around the neck, getting stuck inside the cat if swallowed, etc.

Kimimi72 In reply to pergamjee [2011-06-16 14:09:12 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I always make sure I get rid of all the strings I can find.
They sure are fun to play with though ^_^!

So many cats sleep like this... And this is absolutely adorable! I want to scratch that belly!

Oh yeah. Of the two cats we have now, Hindi is the one that loves belly rubs. Gremlin isn't quite sure of them, but I can get a couple rubs in when she's squiggling at me.
Neko, the one that passed away in December, had so much belly to rub! She loved it, and so did we!

pergamjee In reply to CrazyFoxMoon [2011-04-18 17:58:38 +0000 UTC]
lol ... and how does Gremlin take to the sneak-attacks?
Yeah, we have a few who love belly-rubs, but they are still very much the minority.

Eki just turned 20 earlier this month, and she has new interest - little fabric pouches/pillows stuffed with organic catnip. I think she should be okay. ^-^

We have a theory...only fat cats can sprawl like that! You see, the few cats of ours that do this sprawl are the fat ones! But a commenter said her cat does this and is not fat. So, is Salem fat?
Oh no, no, these plushies were totally not repairable - they were threadbare, tattered, with stuffings falling out. The fabric was so worn that it couldn't be mended. We never thought to note the brand or other such details, so it's really gone. The replacement plushies we got must have felt different as she rejected every one. Ah well, this one has always been difficult to please.

blackstarlight17 In reply to pergamjee [2010-10-04 23:26:01 +0000 UTC]
No, Salem isn't fat, but he is able to do that still He just angles himself the right way to do it
And I've been looking on Amazon and I found a croc that looks similar to the photo. Not perfect, but hey, I figured to try and give a hand
[link] Maybe you could look at any past photos of the plush to get more details if not see if the tag is attached, or try to remember where you got it and look there.
