Good, But An explanation of the code would have been helpful. As it is its not really a tutorial, just a do it yourself example (which aren't the same thing in my mind.) maybe just add the code explination on to the end for those who are interested.

what version of flash did you make this in? because i have flash 8 and all that it does is give me error messages:

Hey I was trying your tut, but I can seem to get the ground working. Ive named the MC's instance "ground" with out the qoutes, but my charater still falls through it.

Okay, I figured out how to fix the ground were the player can function on it, but an error box pops up and says "ground" could not be loaded.
I also when I have to pieces of ground on the stage the player goes through the second one.

Everything is good except when the tut says make an mc of the character moving in ONE frame that doesn't make sense! are you supposed to edit it and animate inside the movie clip? if that's the case, well, I did that! It doesn't work! plz help me!!!

in the frame, convert the drawing into MC, and in the MC, animate

hmm thanks for trying, but its a little hard to follow...does a stop action look like this: stop (); and when you say stop 'action' do you mean put stop (); in the actions box?
this is a little confusing....your tutorial is difficult to follow because i think you may have left out a few important parts like when to or if to make a new frame and stuff..

draw something, highlight it all, right click and select 'convert to symbol', select movie clip and press ok.
