A somewhat tall man cloaked in a dark, hooded robe held a bow and arrow steady. Ready...Aim...Fire! The arrow ripped through the air, hardly making a woosh sound as it flew past a tree and straight into the heart of a squirrel who was burying food for the upcoming winter. The man smiled and cheered silently for himself. Another flawless kill. And that means more food. And food is always awesome. Yup. Totally. Anyways, he picked the squirrel up and thanked the goddesses this one wasn't as lanky as the others. It was actually pretty fat, considering squirrels only came out when they were super hungry and about to die of hunger. But anyways, that's all beside the point. The point is yay for survival. The man decided today was a good hunt, and walked to his campsite.
A fire was crackling loudly, heating up a sleeping man wrapped in a blanket. And if he was awake, maybe he would have noticed the wolf stalking towards him...
