the US has to fall apart eventually. So I thought, the various cultural, political, ethnic etc. identities might tear the country apart. So now you have three (technically 6) propper USA successor states. Hiawatha left the union on their own along with New England and Chesapeake, meanwhile East Florida (which also includes Seminole) and Cherokee had to fight a lot harder for their freedoms. Florida got everything, but the nationalist movements in Chesapeake weren't as popular and counted as an internal conflict among the natives within, dividing the Five Civilized Tribes in half. the "Free Cherokee Republic" isn't even Cherokee for the larger part, consisting of Choktaw and Chickasaw peoples, while the other three remained loyal to the Union. Though, the FCR has the goal in mind of uniting the entire state of Cherokee and remains hostile with the United States, while the US as well as what remains of the state of Cherokee want to have the rest of the free republic back in the Union.
