me too-ish, but it's a set of three sizes of adjustable "G-clamps"  for the smallish work...  yeah that was.... a slow reply!  but y'know.....  Peter.

I like "C" clamps for a more permanent set up... The rest of the time it's a pillow lace pillow I made ages back that serves as my bed when I'm plaiting or knot tying.  I can stick needles in to stabilize the work.

never heard of C clamps what are they like please? yeah.. I know lots who use that method.. its in my tut here on da.. so simple and effective....P.

A "C" clamp looks like a "G" clamp without the "-".  The throat of it is a little more open.
