Description january

delicate flowers
wither under the harsh gales
of the frigid cold

***

february

hearts escaping to
greener pastures find the
courage to mend

***

march

rocky waters crash
against the coastline, sending
boats from their harbor

***

april

second chances bloom
while the ground becomes
jealous of the sun

***

may

the gift of a friend
temptation building promise
like seeds being sown

***

june

summer's melody
a thaw across the meadow
new life springing forth

***

july

the end forms a start
pieces reformed shape
indelible seals

***

august

a lovers' dance
two feet walk in harmony
two hearts find peace

***

september

with one question
brush strokes give eternity
more vibrant hues

***

october

sealed with a ring
the strands of a tapestry
weave two into one

***

november

seeing the world through
new eyes, the skeptic learns how
to believe again

***

december

the end forms a start
one year passing; many
blessed ones to come

this is absolutly beautiful. i love it. I am a poet myself, but not much of one. More of a writer, really... anyway... this is very nicely done. a well thought out way to decribe the year. Haiku is one of my favorite types of poetry.

*smiles softly* An eternity of blessed ones to come, my poet. If I had to do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing.

I can't decide which is my favorite between August and November... But they're all lovely.

I love how they all seem to tie together, though my favorite was september. Thought-provoking, personally, at six in the morning.
