Description
the winds blow outside, drops of rain which run down windows
like beads of sweat upon a body,
hitting the thirsty ground,
consumed within the overflow.
a force of nature before my eyes.
hurricanes hold nothing to
the gusty winds that blow about
disrupting the area with
beautiful chaos.
there will be earthquakes
when the scenic landscape
registers seismic readings
the rise and fall of mountains
one impacted with the other.
there will be tidal waves
when passion stirs the waters.
the stars will fall
the heavens declaring
the manic cadence of its song.
the winds howl a volatile hymn
its melody cast out in closing throes
while nature relaxes
awaiting the next performance
of its majesty on display.

And after the storm has done it's damage, those such as myself are left to ask themselves if things are really any worse than they were previously - because that level of inner destruction is quite hard to top.
Wonderfully written, dear Peter. Beautiful imagery and divine wording.

you are quite kind, kelly.
nature destroys and replenishes. all things wax and wane in time. such is the way of life as i have observed it.

thank you very kindly. amazing how often matters such as nature can bring one back to the more carnal and sensual. forces of nature in their own right.

I knew this would capture Lelio's attention. He loves symbolism, Oui?
Peter my love. Very nicely put....
The stars will turn to firelights to rest peacefully as the cadence of the song plays on.
