Description it taunts me.

hanging there
from its stately perch
the dark harbinger of
temporal placement
staring down at me.

it mocks me.

from its ivory tower,
possessing in its
minute and second hands
the ability to steal
and gift infinity.

it holds the key.

a god in and of itself.
merely an ornament?
i think not.
its hands rule the world
and its face teases with
sadistic cruelty.

no matter how i try
to parcel away
seconds and minutes and hours;

no matter how many
i believe i possess
within my economy.

it grins wickedly.

and in its demon laugh
i hear the resonance of truth
that regardless of
how many moments i perceive
i might have upon this
mortal coil. . .

according to the dark harbinger,
i have absolutely no time at all.

I've been going through your gallery for sometime now, reading what you wrote, yet never commenting, but i believe its time i started..

I loved this, I really do... and somehow the words are familiar to me. like as if they came out of a dream?
