submerged;drowning.
in over my head.
surrounded,
unable to escape
the captivity
of my own soul.
loss;
bereavement
holds me hostage.
time steals
from me
the things that
i cherish.
the things that
i love.
visceral
melancholy.
life is a paradox.
striving for
happiness,
we land in
despair.
sorrow,
and anguish,
and life
everlasting.
will i live
long enough
to see
my way though?

These are themes that have questions that everyone ends up asking themselves, eventually, and they can be called the immortal questions. And that ends up striking kind of an ironic chord with the whole, actually immortal thing.
