a gust of wind blows through the city streetsheavy coats and midnight strolls taking place
the clouds bringing forth rain and snow and sleet
while starless darkness slows the mortal pace
abrupt! the change! the seasons.
hurtling one to the other.
the passage of time.
sand; the hourglass depletes.
gray skies, devoid of sunlight, just as well.
immortal eyes cannot gaze on more than
snow drifts. christmas lights. a new calendar.
a gust of wind blows through the city streets.
