I put it up here anyway!

Short, to the point, and one of life's lessons.

No one is separate. Every thing we do begins a process that goes out from us, in all directions.
A ripple, as you said.

We change our reality all the time. I know that sounds hokey, but we do.

We change the reality of other people. Then add billions of people to that equation. It is pretty scary when you consider that.

The very thread of our destiny lays in not only what choices we make, but the choices of others as well.

This is also one of the premises of time travel. Of course, time isn't linear as most people think. We get that sense from being taught in school with a time line.

The premise of course is that were it possible to go back in time, the traveler could change everything by something as simple as accidentally killing a butterfly, and thereby starting a process that changed the balance of life in that time and changing the destiny of the world.

Actually, there is a story by Ray Bradbury, called "A Sound of Thunder" that uses exactly that example as the pivotal part in the story

I realize that I have complicated your short verse, but these types of writings can strike a person in odd ways and make them think, and then, There off!

This is very effective writing, because I believe it makes people think. On the surface a person thinks, "yeah, I can see that", and then the thoughts begin. Who caused the ripples, and what memories?
We all have different memories, for the most part. Some of us have had some common experiences that clearly show your short verse at work.

Someone who abuses others, creates the ripples. Those ripples, affect the people he or she abuses. How the abused person reacts to others, affects them, and so on.

I know, a rather serious example, but one that many people can see the effects of in regard to what you wrote.
It is excellent. Simple and yet profound at the same time.

At this moment, there are more than 6, 770, 000, 000 people in the world. 6 billion souls - and sometimes....all you need is one.

Thank you so much for the time you take to look at my art, I appreciate it.

This is an amazing philosophy in the making and so so true on many levels.
It is true. It is never so much what happens to us as how we react to it. Sometimes we react with choice and rationality, and sometimes with pure chemical instinct. Either way, our reactions lead to new choices that create a brand new universe for us and everyone around us.

Watching faces in the ripples, and wondering if they fish in heaven. Thanks for the reminder.

There's an old saying that I have in my files under "Rotating Thoughts for the Day" (a different sign every day in my office) ...

"All ideas have consequences."

'Nuff said.
