Description meant to confound
the wiles of the devil
snakes who slither, whispering
wicked tales in willing ears.

allow me to
   introduce you to
      the darker side of me.

i will
        consume you.

not content until the poison
    you attempt to shoot
into the veins of the ignorant
      infects your veins
and you are screaming out
          for mercy.

discovering
  no mercy
shall be
     had.

i watch with eager eyes
for the downfall of the brazen.

i hold within my hands
the match to light the fuse.
smoke rising into the abyss
after the flames of wrath

    consume you.

spiraling around you
your evil intentions

dance with your master now
as he escorts you into hell.

Oooo.

Makes me think you were watching someone get slapped around about this time frame, while wearing that wicked toothy-pointy smile on your face.

This is great. Vengeance as a being shows how it takes control over you till you are gone it is left

"sometimes revenge itself can be a monster."

Agreed. Without careful attention, pruning and other means of growth-checking, it can consume its object, its nurturer, and all around it.

A most precarious position to find one's self in, to be sure.

*nods slowly* i know i have been all too tempted toward some rather sinister things while in the throes of such a sentiment. and it truly can consume.

It has been likened to a black hole with a mind, but no conscience. A rather scary concept ... grows more sinister the more one considers the image.
