you saved meout from the depths i emerged
as a newborn child
just learning to breathe
just learning to live
i emerged from the abyss
with a naked soul
just learning who i was again.
within your eyes i saw salvation
i followed them into the light
standing before the sun
without being burned
able to bask within the glow
of summer daylight serenades.
within your soul,
i found a sanctuary
take me there once more.
let me taste your kisses and recall
what made a man live again
what taught the blind to see.
take me in your arms.
hold me as a child, for i am
still the scared little boy
afraid of the dark
which lurks within me.
you rescued me
out from the depths i emerged
a better creature past the fiery
flames of hell
past the bleeding, jaded life
i now possess
take me in your arms, my dearest
teach me who i am again.
wrap this naked soul within
the sanctuary of your love.

She brings this out of me so easily. Evokes it at will. I could pen a thousand stanzas, but you all seem to grow tired of my incessant rambling when I talk too much about her.

it's not like we're getting tired of the rambling (because everyone knows i can ramble on for hours sometimes), but it's just a little sad when i read poems like this and i don't have anyone to curl up with.
