thanks! Three claws on the wings this time, not just one, that was an experimental detail which i probably won't be able to replicate. it's also extremely structurally weak and floppy, it can barely stand on its own, definitely need to prepair a higher quality paper for the final version, this didn't go nearly as well as I expected. I also changed all the feet to have four toes in total instead of five, with three facing forward and a dewclaw in the back, but I don't really like it. I'll see if I can make it with four toes facing forward and a dewclaw in the back in the final version. Or I could keep three toes but make them longer instead, or even make four and make them longer (more obvious and more menacing) than here, but any of these options will require me to change the structure of the model. Five toes made the feet look too cluttered in my opinion, so I decided to try this for a change, but having just three toes pointing forward made the feet look to little and weak in comparison with the rest of the dragon, and I don't know what happenned, I designed it so all the layers in the body are the same width as the pleat going through the base from wing to wing, but the wing pleat turned out narrower (which made the wings quite a bit shorter than intended.) On top of all this, I noticed the head looks disproportionately big in comparison with the rest of the body. I also messed up the tail here, because I sqitched the order of folds and instead of making pleats that go from the tip to the base of it first and then pleating it across from side to side, I did it the other way around and the tail just doesn't look right. Overall, this one was a fail and a bust.

lol, despite all the experimenting it still looks great xD not to mention experimentation is sometimes the only way any of us improve or have good ideas. (longer claws sounds awesome btw regardless of the number) also if this is your definition of fail then WOW you are far ahead of most of us!

yeah, I am a perfectionist when it comes to certain things, but i am a selective perfectionist. I am only a stickler when it comes to origami to be honest. when I create a mental image of something i'm just going after it and won't stop until the model looks the way I wanted it. or I give up and leave it for later... but I only do that when I'm really stuck on something. If I see ways to improve a model and have ideas how to make it happen, I usually don't find it hard to find motivation to fold something repeatedly. My room has slowly turned into a dragon's nest, but whatever XD It's all worth it in the end. no matter what you do, if you are satisfied with the result then that's all that matters

Agreed, I get the same way with chainmaille... if I notice a flaw in a piece I'm working on (that I can correct) it drive me insane and I can't stop until I've corrected it (or until I rage quit xD). Also YOU HAVE A DRAGON'S NEST IN YOUR ROOM! HOW MANY PEOPLE ON THIS EARTH CAN CLAIM THIS? xD

Let me just sigh with relief that you picked the more innocent reference to go with, in other words, everything was fine until the dragon nation attacked...

XD to be fair, you what you went with was how I,d originally intended it, but then, after looking at it, I realized how wrong that looks/sounds... XD

Then I guess we'll just call it even and 'all is fair in art and war'. xD Now, let the war begin! Send forth the mighty Dragons and all nations will crumble!

Some men (which sadly it seems I fall into said category xD) and most Dragons, no matter how peaceful they seem to our eyes. "What will you spare? and what will you burn?" -Paarthurnax, Skyrim.

(though just cause they see the world through a wall of flame doesn't mean they aren't friendly xD)
