One of a series. A photomanipulated nude picture of an actress (who must remain nameless) from Playboy magazine, using Photoshop 6, about 5 years ago. Re-sized and slightly re-edited recently.Related content

sorry it took me so long to reply...I keep getting lost in here. I just want to let you know I really appreciate your comment/critiques - and I don't think of a critique as being "critical" - not that you've ever written ever critical of my work. On the contrary, you and hallucinajen have been my biggest supporters. Thank you! And I will try to recreate the long comment I was typing earlier until I sent it into the ether....I'm still so pissed at myself that I didn't send it first, before changing screens! But not tonight...

Give things about a month and a half and you'll have more people picking up your stuff, it just happens because of the way DA is set up. A number of times I have logged in and seen a thumbnail of a great picture show up on the "Recent Deviations" panel and gone straight for it. Other times I will go to someone's page to comment upon a journal or picture and see a comment by someone who sounds interesting and go visit them; next thing ya know they're on my Dev Watch / friend's list. That's how you get traffic here.
Generally I keep my "critiques" to a minimum; I am not practiced as a painter (oils, acrylics) or photographer, I am not a manga / anime artist (but some of these young folks are amazing in that respect); I am at best a cartoonist of the traditional school and a manipulator of color in the Abstract school (think Mondriaan and Kandinsky), so it is hard for me to say what is good or what is not about anyone's offerings beyond the scope of what I know. I think I demonstrated this in my crack about your "careful use of filters;" since I constantly use Filter>everything I at least know here whereof I speak!

Traffice is picking up, I'm glad to report! In terms of filters I love 'em. I enjoy trying different ones and seeing the results. I am only as a photographer - I took one course in college but have been shooting, mostly for myself, since '76. I will recreate as best I can that long comment soon but here, also, time is scarce currently.
