Great detail (but a bear to zoom in for us dial-uppers). Ahhh spring has sprung!

Yes - spring is my favorite season! Thank you for the on Gate House! I am fascinated by these former estates and their ostentatious life styles. I have been to this arboretum four times in the last week and have still not come anywhere near exhausting the photo opportunities. Today I'm going to take a trip to another former estate - Old Westbury Gardens. I purposely didn't return a call for work for today as I need a full day off for a change!

As for dial up, in most areas you can now get DSL or Cable internet access for around the same cost of dialup - it is SO worth it! Look into it, if you haven't already.

They could move me into Gate House, I wouldn't mind a bit! I love old places like that and your photo make it look so inviting! I can't wait to see the new pics of Westbury! I've never been to your area, so I'm traveling vicariously... and loving it!
As for high speed conncetions? Would LOVE one, but my dial up is paid for by my job and right now I just can't make myself commit my own money to something I'm getting for free! So I grumble while it's loading and remind myself about the money I'm saving...
AND I remind myself I'm just closer to that digital SLR that I want sooooo bad! Or that 2nd gig of ram, or that.... Someday!

Thanks for your kind words! I'm having trouble uploading jpgs (again) for no reason. Just spent ove half an hour with the help desk with no answers A digital slr would be awesome - I have a 3.2 meg point and shoot, but would LOVE an 11meg slr !

I have a little 4 mgp Kodak. I REALLY miss my old Nikon & all the lenses & filters (didn't think I would ). A digital slr is an absolute MUST and is absolutely NEXT!

I still have my old Nikons but lately all I've been shooting with is my little Canon PowerShot 3.2 mgp.

I sold mine when things got really broke. I hadn't used it in years and didn't think I would miss it. Now that I'm back into actually taking real photos again, I wish I still had it. How in the hell does anyone actually see anything on a digital camera's viewer on a sunny day! I have screwed up soooo many "should have been" really good shots!
