Description
I believe nature is the universes' best artist. Hence, when I photograph nature's handiwork, I most often refrain from 'messing with perfection'. In this photo the only alterations made were a very minor Photoshop auto adjustment of contrast and an arbitrarily chosen image size of 8 by 10 inches. This photo was taken in a greenhouse at the Planting Fields Arboretum on the north shore of Long Island, N.Y. last Friday. While not technically a "perfect photo" I decided to submit this photo to illustrate the concept that, while the overall mass of this plant is rather mundane, the beauty lies in the details....much as in life.Related content

It has to be good because it is creating a synthesysia where I can taste it's texture and the color of the flower goes to my head....I know that probobly doesn't make sense but it is really cool!
Are you alright? You seem a bit more serious than usual?

Thank you for your inspiring comment - and the fav! This - again - was an image that I at first wasn't going submit: It's hard for me to judge what effect, if any, my work has on others. That is one reason this site is so awesome - despite my earlier negativity this morning...
I am very all right, but I am taking life - especially work - more seriously lately, a result - I think - of what I've gone thru so far this year. I still do have my silly side, tho...(slaps Jen with fish!)

oh cool.....you found a fish that smells like strawberry......hit me again
You know......this last one that I did I was afraid to submit because I wasn't sure if anyone else was going to like it. I think it is a common thing.
We need to stop taking ourselves so seriously......I mean....so what if we do post a pic that sucks...even if it sucks big time. I bet that it won't change a thing

And you're right about being so serious, I think.

I have been catching myself being too serious way too often lately. I'm like.......should I even post this......what if no one likes it.......
I used to just have fun with it and not even expect people to like the pieces or not. I need to get back to that.
