Thank you. It's not perfect, but life seldom is. I'm content with how it turned out

Be careful what you wish for.....lol. By the way, would you have an old nude photo of yourself that I could borrow? I promise to return it.....

I like the soft neutral background you chose for this shot, it works well with the bright colors. You might want to bump up the contrast on the whole image just a bit though. And using Photoshop to get higher contrast, and other effects that you could produce in a darkroom when printing anyway is perfectly fine in my opinion, and doesn't make it a manipulation. Lovely composition, by the way.

Thank you for your comments. As I was in a greenhouse in an arboretum where they don't allow you to touch or move their plants, I was forced to deal with what (limited) backgrounds I was able to frame up. It was a good exercise in composition as the background behind that particular plant was a series of semi-tramslucent glass panes. I was forced to compose the image within the confines of the window mullions, as I didn't want to include them in the shot. I agree that the image needs a little work in Photoshop to "enhance" what I captured but I didn't have time before work this morning to do so. I was anxious to put this out there for peer review, as it's the first one of the first photos I've shot in over two years, and is the very first pusr photo I've uploaded here. Thanks again!

"pusr" photo? I am afraid I couldn't follow that. You did a great job of composition though. Keeping undesirable elements out of the background is always a challenge, especially in a city.

oops - I meant "pure", as in unadulterated. And thanks for your feedback. I adjusted the contrast and brightness last night but I think I overdid it. I'm going to look at it again when I have some more time...

Ahh! Ok, that makes more sense now. *L*

Hmm, the contrast looks much better now, but it might be just a touch too bright. That can certainly be a matter of opinion though. That arc of yellowish reflection across the center is a bit distracting, but it would likely be a bit of a struggle to remove it. It really is a nice composition.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I want to reduce the brightness or not. As to the band of yellow, I kind of like it - at least, it doesn't bother me enough to attempt to remove it, lol! Thanks for the critiques

Well, it is your opinion that really matters, as it is your work.
