Check out my latest - Wild Yellow Iris 4.2 (I think that was my favorite version...memory is the first thing that goes, lol). I shot that Thur. morning. Manipulated it while commuting to and at work, and was able to post it here all within a few hours! For a person whose first computer was an Atari 800, with 64kb of memory, I'm constantly and continually both amazed by and grateful for the rapid advances available in technology. My first upgrade for it (my, at that time - early '80's - $500 Atari 800, (back when $500 was a LOT of money!) state of the art home computer) was a CASSETTE drive which would take, if lucky enough to succeed on the very first try, up to half an hour to load a program where - nowadays - a similar sized program loads in about a nanosecond! Plus, one needed to learn Basic to be able to do anything not preprogrammed! The hardest part for someone my age - way too close to fifty for my comfort - is trying to stay on top of technological change as it advances in, seemingly, ever-increasing warp speed mode! wow! = O I'd hate to have a computer that slow. I'm so use to everything being so fast. After all I haven't been here on earth all that long. Actually $500 is still alot...to me anyways. I'm not exactly rich...or poor...kinda in between.
