Description
Despite 30 F degree temperatures, winds gusting 20 to 25 mph - for a wind chill of 18 F, partial cloud cover (washed by suburbia's ubiquitous sodium vapor street lights) and a lens that is not nearly long enough, I managed to get a few halfway decent shots of tonight's total penumbral lunar eclipse. Here's the best of the bunch; and even this shot I had to crop somewhat, to make the moon a little larger. Hopefully, by the time the next one comes around - in 2014 - I'll have a nice, long telephoto lens.Related content
