Description Concept of sci fi pulse rifle.

Quite busy these days but I've been able to make this one concept along.

It is energy equipment. No projectiles at all. Battery is socketed in rear sections behind grip. Body hides bunch of three barrels/emitters inside. Core of structure is chamber in the middle . Scope is linked to body and is displaying (beside other) actual status of battery and other information regarding internal parts. These information are available only in scope and not also on the body itself which has been found as limitation  while operating. On the other hand new platform of battery provides enough energy for 94 rounds. Design office is still working on elimination flash effects while firing. Also tests uncover defects occuring while constant firing. In case of constant suppress fire of 3 and more battery packs in row, generated heat melts down front mask. Planned bigger cooler inside body will fix this problem soon.

I made this concept in 3ds max and render engine I used V-ray. Model is highpoly. Due lack of time I didnt make full textures but used shiny materials.

I did 2 big pictures:

2. Shoki secondary - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Sho…

So what? Do you like it or not? Tnx for comments if any and bye.

P.S.
I did another model with similar style: SUIJIN (SUIJIN - Concept of sci fi pulse rifle. )

Bye

I'm currently using Lightwave 11.5.
I like it a lot.
Picked up a copy of Maya (the cheaper Autodesk program) and am anxious to try it out.
I do a lot vehicles, weapons, and spacecraft and am getting the hang of Lightwave (I was a Blender user).
Though the computer requirements are killer for lightwave's higher functions.
Even with my rig some functions put a strain on it.

My computer is a custom build.

Mobo: Asrock 990 Extreme 4
HDDs: 1 x 1 TB Toshiba 5200 rpm, 1 x 3 TB Western Digital 5200 rpm, 1 x Hitachi Deskstar 300 gb 7200 rpm (scratch disk).
Processor: AMD FX-8 core, 8350 Black Edition 7.7 Ghz.
Memory: 32 Gb or Corsair DDR 3 (Vengence, 4 x 8 gb sticks) at 1600 mhz (set to 1333 mhz as per Corsair's white papers).
Graphics Cards: 2x Sapphire Radeon 7870 DDR3 2GB DDR5, "fire-linked" (one for each monitor).
Power supply: 750 watt Thermaltake modular
Soundcard: Fatalyty X-Fi 64 MB Sound Blaster card for my 5.1 speaker set up (I need my tunes when I work ).
Chasis is a Thermaltake Armor+ Modified with 2x 200mm fans (front and back panel), 7x 140mm fans (2 front, 2 bottom, 1 rear, 1 top, 1 HDDs)

It does the job for most applications, but I do sometimes put it through its paces with Lightwave.

Again, fantastic image.
Kudos.

I dont watch news in PC hardware industry but your computer looks like one from NASA. How much does this computer costs today? I have average one desktop but this one job I most did on notebook which is 2 years old and I bought it at that time for 550 eur.

Using deals from Newegg's ebay store, and Newegg's main site I put it together for just under $1500.00 US.
It was not built all at once, I was very patient and made sure to buy only new, and as good a price as possible.
Took me 8 months to get all the components before I could put them together and get this rig up and running.

If you lurk on ebay and watch for good deals, you might even be able to put one together for under $1200.00 US.
But you do have to build it yourself.

Beautiful appearance, and I think you're the first person I've seen with a weapon concept like this who's considered the practical details (like heat effects and the need to improve cooling). I like it. A lot.

I used to do some but It's pretty much the same I have to say here, the design is flawless.
If only the design can be pushed down around 15k tris I would like to put this is a video game mod and do animations for it.
