Description
Changes your Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 UltimateAfraid your friends think you are a poor guy, because you only have win7 home premium or badder? Or simply like Ultimate boot more?
You need:
Reshacker and eventually TakeContolb2 (Google for it, easy to find everywhere)
Open your Windows folder than open the folder Branding. Inside you find a folder called basebrd which contains a basebrd.dll. Copy it to your desktop.
Use reshacker to replace all bitmaps in this file with the ones in this pack.Save the new file.
Take ownership of basebrd.dll. If you don't know how to do this, google forTakeControlb2 and this will do it for you.
Replace the original basebrd.dll with the one you made. This also changes your systeminfo run/winver to Ultimate.
Done and enjoy the next boot.

Of course, you can erase the text and write whatever you want. Or better make a new transparent 32bit bitmap. You should not change the dimension of the bmps, or you will possibly come in trouble.
Good luck and have fun!

Great job, Peter! I may be a little less nervous about posting 7 mods now that I've downloaded TakeControlb2. I've had a couple cool ideas, but have been nervous about sharing them because of the permissions settings on Vista and Seven. I've had to answer hundreds of inquiries on my XP mods, and those simply require a Replacer Utility. (No matter how careful and explicit your instructions are, if someone is 12 years old and doesn't speak English, it can get pretty dicey.) Imagine the mess I could get into if a pack calls for modding Win 7 imageres, basebrd and shell32.
First and foremost, as you well know, I don't want to be responsible for people blowing up their PCs while trying to install one of my transformation packs, and will do anything rather than see that happen.
Oh well, that's down the road apiece. I've got real world obligations right now, so dA stuff will have to take a back burner.
Keep pioneering, though, Dude! This is a great mod. And happy New Year from me'n'Snuzie.!

Hi Lannie!Thanx for commenting and for too.
You know that i also want my things to be safe. That's the reason why i recommend this Take Controlb2 app. I have tested it on some 7 computers and it works absolut stable and safe.Don't know about the copyrights or i would include it in further deviations. So start to work and show your ideas to the world.

It would be cool if we could include it with downloadable mods posted on dA. Would save a world of trouble

I believe this. This is surely not something for everyone's taste. Some may find it useful, some not.I saw the question how to do this very often in forums.

Normally this should work on Ultimate too.Haven't tried it because makes no sense.I will test it tomorrow. You have to modify the files with transparency 121,1121,2121 to make this working. The other ones are for system info.Checkout if you have modified the right files.

Sorry my fault!
Basebrd is the short wort for Basebrand. Didn't think about that not everyone knows this. Will correct it now in the description. Thanks! So it works now for you?

Shouldn't be a problem. Look into the bitmaps. Some of them have transparency. Take these and erase the layer until only the transparent part is left.Import them into the dll (Look for the correct number)and the text is gone.

Congrats to your Ultimate.Maybe it is useful for other people. I often read in the Internet that people wanted to know how to do this. Also you can manipulate the files to whatever you want. How`s about a "Nemesiscult7 Ultimate"? lol
