Gaiomon is one of the most amazing and the most mysterious digimon ever. He is samurai version of WarGreymon. Is he evil or is he good? That's good question.
He appeared in Digimon Fusion/Xros wars like a minor villain. He worked for Musyamon and he was easily defeated by Shoutmon X5. That was so easy.

I recall him most from Digimon World Dawn and Dusk on the DS. He's part of the Kowloon Co. in the game alongside two other Digimon which vary depending on the version, and then he's in both versions along with the group's leader GranDracmon. Gaiomon in all honesty is the toughest of the four if you're playing Dawn because the partner Digimon you can have in Dawn are much more prone to hitting him on his strongest front than they would his weakest. In Dusk he's much easier because the Digimon you get in Dusk are prone to deal more or less neutral damage against him with most of them either being neutral or resistant to Gaiomon's own attacks.

Did they? I kinda stopped watching after frontier, and some of Data Squad, so I wouldn't know. But yeah, I would agree. Interesting tidbit, I hear in the Digimon Pendulum X series of V-pets, this guy was one of Dorumon's final forms (rather than the more expected Agumon(X)) via the De(ath)X line. Kinda makes me wonder why they didn't extend that courtesy to Agumon (which they've since rectified), or even the normal Doruga line for that matter, since he's pretty far removed from an undead-type Digimon.
