Humans are actually quite constrained. Kargads rule the North and most of the old Empire lands.

Actually, there are lots of forests in all continents, especially in Paykatu (down-left) where you can find huge jungles like Juha Pataeh (Orum - Eva ) and most of Borrhi is tundra. There are only a few deserts in southern Erehnea (Lizard Lands) or some areas in western Paykatu. There are forests wherever you see trees!
Don't get confused by the absence of -let me use- "bold" green colored areas: It's an artistic choice, to give the world a more old-map/dark style.
