For the fifth anniversary of the daily fanart project, I went back and redrew a couple of '14 dailies that I was disappointed with, the Segmented Crawbster and Gatling Groink from Pikmin 2! (I was especially looking forward to tackling the former, they're one of my favorite bosses!) You can find the old versions and a few alternate attempts at this piece over here on my blog!

The color here took on more of a 'VR Lobster Combat' vibe than originally intended, but it's grown on me.
Heading into year six of these, I hope... well cripes, I just hope I survive. Stepping away from coloring stuff has been a bummer, but it's been a lot better for my mental health. I've gotten pickier with what I draw, so hopefully more quality and sincerity can show through these as I draw my favorite creatures n' monsters (still picked with random wiki browsing, just with the added rule of dropping any subjects I'm not enthusiastic about).
