What a beautiful capture! I saw Balto during my trip to NYC and couldn't believe how many people wanted a photo with him, I didn't think he would be that popular among all the other statues in Central Park!

Very nice photo I have always liked Balto, the real story took place some years before my dad was born. My Dad was born in the same town, Nome. You can guess what movie was a family favorite when I was a kid

Yeah, I used to watch this movie all the time when I was little and was never quite sure if it was real or not, and then if the stature really existed, if the story they built around it was true.

I think it's because he was taken to NY zoo when he got old, he was also featured in some stand up live show in a theater (no not with cameras and everything and tv), and apparently only men were aloud to enter and watch . I heard that after watching the Balto documentary... I'm not sure ill have to watch it again.
