So this one is a bit of a Plastic Beach/Self-Fan-service hybrid xDHowdy y'all!
So I know I'm a bit late on the bandwagon buuut Gorillaz has become a sort of addiction of mine recently.
Of course, I had known of them before but I had never actually heard a single track by them until as of late heh heh. And not surprisingly (I'm sure) my entry song was Feel Good Inc. which is totally why I drew 2-D from a completely different album... go figure xD Actually, I only bothered looking further into Gorillaz because of the art and animation, like many others, I'm sure.
I'm actually working on three other drawings atm, but they require more effort and I just wanted to relax (and wanted a shot at drawing in their style) so I knocked this off in a single evening. No regrets
Also, sailor suits are hot. Like, seriously. So I just wanted an excuse to draw one, really haha
In reality though, the final product became more a combined art style. I think it came out rather well, despite that so I'm happy haha.
In case you can't tell, I sort of based it off Phase 3 2-D, combined with the plastic beach album cover thingy and this image (I borrowed the plastic beach part from it... I wish CSP did watercolours like that ;w
. I also borrowed their logo bc... professionalism? Lawl.Anyway, the joke of this drawing was that 2D couldn't find the plastic beach despite it being right behind him...because he's not too bright... Yeah.
Aaaanyway, I'm done for the night (day lawl).

I can't say that I haven't. Though I will say that I've only heard a few of their songs and out of all of them, "Clint Eastwood" is still their best to me for some reason. I will say though that I enjoyed "Feel Good Inc", but it's better mashed up with "Somebody Told Me" by the Killers.
Either way I find them to be an interesting band.

Feel God Inc. was my entry point song xD So I may be biased, but I really love that one xD But I'm curious about this mashup haha. Imma go check it out xD

Maybe it was because I grew up watching the music video on Toonami and Youtube.
The animation on the music video to "Clint Eastwood", is still interesting to me.
Maybe it's that strangeness you were talking about that draws me in.
Either way "Feel Good Inc" is still a good song.
