this is my entry for the OOAKDOLLART.com inner demon contesti choose my pain because it is what defeats me most days, i suffer from fribromyalgia and the strings represent the control of the pain that it has over me. it resides mainly in my upper back, shoulders and arms. i do feel like a puppet being played with because there are so many things i would like to do but have this constant deep burning throbbing pain that tells me "NO, YOU HAVE NO CONTROL"
it is sculpted in black & white and some red to represent what i feel like when i have a episode of it (almost daily)
for the black & white there is no in between, it's either i feel great or i dont, never a so-so
and red for the firey pain that is controlling me. i give in too often to it and give up.

yeah, unfortunately its something ive been suffering with what seems like ALL my life. i was diagnosed at 24 but the same pains i feel now i remember feeling when i was a child and the doctors just said it was "growing pains" but now my kid has nightly episodes of it and it has me wondering if it's not some other muscle disorder or something on top of the fibromyalgia

sorry it took a while to respond. i havent tried a whole lot of herbal remedies.just try to get more sleep and stay as stress free as i could.. i did try flax for a while though. i did like that. and there was something else that was a natural sleep aid. i cant remember the name of it i think it started with a "M"...
but lately it hasnt been so bad and im not on anything

yes, it was a difficult challenge to create my inner demon...
but since then things have gotten better, i am happy to say.
still feel the pain from time to time,especially if i exert myself.
i am happy you are happy to have one of my creations. its collectors like you who make me wanna keep going

wow Candid this is amazing, i din't realize you had this pain, but this piece has really shown so much its so moving well done on putting your inner demon in to 4d it takes a really specail person to be able to do that, wish i could, the pregnancy has left me feeling so emotional its just a place i don't think i could go to right now, so well done to you girl!

oh yes kim, since childhood...it has kept me from doing a lot of physical things growing up. and it hurt more that no one believed me i was ever in pain. but i get it kim, having to do that in such a vulnerable and sensitive state, i dont think i couldve either. but thank you for your wonderful compliments! means so much to me

i understand if it's too personal for you to express your entry, and thats OK! mine to me honestly, is not as deep & personal to some who have entered the contest. but i felt my piece was something that i had to share for those who suffer the same and may gain a little strength knowing they are not alone! and 
i will be here waiting with open arms if & when you do decide to submit it. until then i hug you

Thanks Candis, you are always so supportive and such a dear friend! I really appreicate that. I still haven't decided if I will submit it or not...I have tons of things I need to submit, I just don't have time at the moment (working of 4 dolls...gah!)

this is just my interpretation of my inner demon, i believe everyone has one that haunts them and torments them constantly. i am so happy my doll forum decided to hold this contest so that we artists could express it in some way! thank you for reacting and your honesty!
