What a fantastic capture, very well done. Oh well I think I need more time till I get one in flight so well, especially with much less focal length. But you're right with it, one should never give up, sooner or later you get the shot you want.

You see, I have seen so many pictures of kingfishers sitting with fish in the beak and looking to the left, maybe to the right, but in flight...this is amazing. They are so fast...I tried it but no chance!
