The sailor-suited defenders of love & justice need many skills. This is just training. And a hell of a lot of fun.My first attempt to color the latest piece I commissioned from *shoxxe . Feedback on color choice and shading is welcome. Especially shading. I restarted on the hair shades several times.

You said I'd like this, and like it I do! I love how calm and collected Venus and Mars are here descending under their canopies. Usagi... looks like she's having too much fun. That, or she wants some attention. (But wait a minute... from the vibe I'm getting, this is supposed to be Mars' first time out in the sky. How the hell is she as calm as Venus when she should have been as scared as Usagi her first time?

MST3k mantra! Anyway, I'd think Minako and Rei are just as excited and scared as Usagi, but they don't emote as much as she does (and Usagi is so adorably dorky :3 ). Flying under canopy is probably the least stressful bit compared to what comes before (freefalling under control, opening the parachute) and after (landing without hurting yourself), so they're just enjoying themselves right now.
Thanks for the good vibes. And thanks for sharing those canopy designs. If I could figure out a way to draw a canopy that doesn't take forever or look like ass, I may use those. But I imagine that's the reason shoxxe keeps the canopy out of the frame in these pictures; that's not what he signed on to draw.

Pah. Since when is opening a parachute stressful? It's a simple thing, really. I can understand landing and freefall, but...
No, really, thank YOU. I wouldn't have come up with those if you hadn't showed me that app and what you came up with it. Believe you me, however, if you've got 'chutes you've made on that app that're better than mine, I'd like to see better.
