Description
Felt like coloring something in yellow today so I did a quick half-ass coloring job on one of my OLD robot designs the Security Bee, wasp or whatever the hell you wanna call it.Drawn on typing paper with pencil and inks, then shot it up with GIMP.

good overall color scheme, but using a perfect yellow shade is a bit too striking. perhaps a paler, off-yellow? not a lot of things will use perfect reds or perfect blues either, they're just too bright.
or it could be my monitor, which i doubt because its fairly dark. i can tell you used an off-black for the black segments, but at a certain angle from my monitor it appears the same color as the lineart

Probably right, did at first use a lighter yellow...almost like that of creamed corn. Then kinda went toward the true yellow, maybe a little too much. And yeah its an off-black.

i was thinking the same thing but remembered how easily annoyed artists get when they create something original and then get tons of comments of "this reminds me of X from so-and-so series"
