Sure, I used Photoshop 7 back then...now, I'm using CS3 and my way of drawing has slightly changed, but it's still quite good for beginners, I guess ^^°

darn i dont have ps... i have corel painter but it kinda sucks...
i wish i was as patient as u are, if i did something like that, it would probably take forever XD
I didn't know that u used the burn tool? wow i gotta go try it before i read this i always tried to colour the shade with a different coloured brush

Yeah, corel really sucks...I used it once, too but everything I produced was really bad.
And this tutorial is kind of old...I use different techniques now. If you look into my newest faves in the tutorial folder, you'll see, that I now use the pen tool (at least in the newest picture), the lock transparent pixels tool and I shade without the burn tool, I colour them over with a brush. I only use the burn/dodge tool for really dark places and highlights.

You can either go on Layer>New>Layer... and press okay.
Or you can do that in your layer box.
Down below, there are some symbols. Click on the one, that looks like a blank sheet of paper
