Description Oh, Paige.  You should know better than to read aloud weird unknown occult books you found in the "restricted access" section of the library.  Oh, well, I'm sure there's a cure somewhere in one of the other books.  Keep reading, Paige!

[With apologies to jkrolak , but I'm overdue for doing a version of one of your characters anyway.]

Yes, keep reading -- but not out loud!

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought she was wearing those thick "socks" ballet dancers wear during practice sometimes.

Odd, I noticed why her pants and panties are fallen down to her lower arms, without being ripped apart. Paige was feeling surprised, about her transformation.

It's always a good idea to read books aloud, just in case the words are actually enchanted.

Usually when you abruptly change into a centaur, your pants get ripped. Hers fell to the floor. Did she by chance drop them before the spell was cast? And if so, why?

The transform was slow enough that it pushed them down before they turned into fabric confetti - this time.

I don't mind. The Book of Changes has proven to be one of my more fun creations. If my old AD&D group only knew just how far their nemesis has come over the years. *wistful sigh*

As for changing back, one expertly written thesis on centaur family life, two foals (and a third on the way), and *dreamy sigh* from Paige* Treaver, she's in no hurry anymore. She even get's along well with her in-laws (herd).

Oh and almost forgot....

We're talking about almost 30 years ago.

As DM, the idea for the book was originally a bit of comic relief. They players were trying to solve a mystery that involved assorted spell books, libraries, monasteries, and a few traditional "dungeons". Inspire of some very elaborate and Rube Goldberg like precautions, they kept encountering the cursed thing. Finally in desperation, they decided to destroy this minor artifact in the hopes of returning to normal or at least ending the chaos. I think they had been transformed into a satyr (priest), centaur (thief), harpy (magic user), about 4 humans/elves, and one pixie (fighter). School year ended with them just embarking on the quest to reach the peak of a volcano.

The whole thing was loosely based on the old module White Plume Mt.

One question? Is this OK for me to try the Book of Changes picture about Paige getting turned into a centaur by the book?

I'll look forward to seeing your version of Paige.

Aaaaaand... Another Horsebutting has occured!

Here's your pamphlet and a coupon (for four) for a proper set of centaur shoes.

I'm sure Paige will appreciate the starter shoes and complementary fitting. At least once she stops panicking about the traditional fitting session.
