Anjali was a lioness who Dakari met while he was traveling through their allies kingdoms as an ambassador. She is beautiful and charmed by the prince. One the way to the Grasslands she bears him a son, but upon their son's birth she immediately names him Khari, like a king, and Dakari is concerned the name won't sit well with his family as he is last in line for the throne. Upon learning this Anjali is... less than pleased. When Dakari wakes in the morning to his son crying from hunger she is gone without a trace.

Leaving them, Anjali is fuming. How dare that idiot not tell her he was a LOW prince?! She'd been dreaming of being a queen all her life, as her mother and father told her she would for her beauty alone. She had thought she'd done it when Dakari told her he was a prince. Well, she would try again, but she would make sure she was more careful this time around.
