Once again, the shading is expertly well done. I can learn so much from this artwork.
Nicely done !

Gorgeous. You did a fabulous job with the inking, something I'm still struggling with. A lot.

I really like the way you did the claws, and the scales look marvelous too!

(no one knows anything about pangolin anatomy , and you've got approx 99,7% more background there than I ever bother to have )

Thanks! I like the way they walk around on just their back feet.

they are an awesome ancient creature, I think its the pangolin and the platypus that are the last gap between reptile and mammal, real interesting stuff

Awww he has the cutest face! I love his nose and his teeny little whiskers and all the wrinkles around his eye. >w<

I actually think this background was a good choice. It's so sharp and contrast-y and really adds a lot to the picture. Plus that scale shape is just really interesting to look at.

I LOVE these ink drawings you do, nghhhh.

Thanks! Not sure I'd do it the same way if I did it again, but at least it doesn't look too bad.

I know I'm ok at ink stuff, which is mostly why I don't do much of it. I need to practise the things I really stink at. Like painting people.

Whoa. Whoaaaa. THIS is cool. Gah, those scales... @_@

I quite like the background, actually. It unifies the scaliness on the pangolin, and brings the eye to the doomed little ants crawling on/around him. 8D

Do they really have claws like that?

Yep! Pangolin have big claws. They also walk around on just their hind legs because of those claws. [link]

Ffffttt THEY'RE SO CUTE MY GOSH

You'd think their center of gravity would be all skiwampus, walking like that. I guess their tails must be heavy enough to keep them from falling forward.

Thanks! They aren't totally accurate to what a Pangolin should look like, but I had fun drawing them.

I really love how you've shaded the scales (scales? plates?), it came out really great! c:
