Description I haven't had this bad a cinema experience since Transformers 4.. That was just... such an impressively incoherent, awful movie. Filled with random flashbacks, endlessless overly-dramatic nitty-gritty music, and not a single likable character... GOD I wanted Lex Luther to DIE by the end! Every time he opened his mouth I just despised his character. He was so painfully ANNOYING!

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with nitty-gritty moments in movies. But Marvel had the common sense to know that when they're doing adult movies about guys flying around in their underwear, you have to throw in some levity and jokes into your movies.

I've heard some people say they like Ben Affleck better than Christian Bale as the new Batman. I have to say, thank Geebus Christian Bale didn't take the role as Batman. He deserved better than this. Ben Affleck tries his best to give Batman that prescence and character, but I kept seeing Batman more as a petulant man-child in a costume than the wise, cool Batman we've all grown to love over the years. There's absolutely no motivation for Batman fighting Superman, and the fight is extremely one-sided and is just mostly watching Superman get the crap beaten out of him. The motivation for their fight is completely nonsensical and seems more like a fanfiction in writing quality.

And the movie takes itself so STUPIDLY seriously! It's basically a fanfiction fight between two superheroes! How can you be possibly taking it seriously?! I felt no investment in the characters because nothing is properly explained, the narrative is garbage and the movie is all over the place all the time like it's on LSD. The CG is horrendous too. Filled with seizure-inducing flashy images that feel so artificial that all immersion is lost.

And the movie just goes on... and ON... AND ON!! GOD IT WOULDN'T STOP! Why is every single DC movie so endlessly long? All I felt was what a horrendous waste of money this movie was. And the movie is so proud of itself.. The music felt so self-absorbed in it's own self-imagined magnificence that I just wanted to punch this movie..

I wrote this after seeing the movie, but I've also heard that critics hate it. I am so relieved it has been badly received, but sadly, it broke box office records the opening weekend.

But personally, I am done with DC... Man of Steel stunk and Batman vs Superman was somehow even worse.

I saw Man of Steel and I was bored.
If I don't like a movie, I don't like it. No bias

I think I may see suicide squad too. It actually looks kinda funny and like they're not taking themselves too seriously. Kinda intriguing graphical style.

Nolan's dark style must not be imitated because it will not be the same. Nolan makes it work, Snyder doesn't.
That's why I'll give a chance to Suicide Squad, because I don't think it will try to be edgy, just something completely different.

It can't be everything dark. Plus, Snyder didn't direct nor wrote SS.

If I ever watch this movie(Which is most likely not likely since I'm not a superhero fan) I'll take that over that completely pointless and unnecessary Nostalgia Critic review.

If I may ask, was there something in particular you didn't like about Doug's review on it? I'm just interested for constructive sake to make sure I don't do the same thing.

Well I haven't watched the whole thing, but I did see a clip of his Jurassic World review(The review that unfortunately started the trend he's doing) and here's my problems: Him reviewing newer movies while still in theaters is completely pointless an unnecessary as NC. I know it's his show and he makes his own rules, blah, blah, blah, but one thing I know you shouldn't do when you are a reviewer is contradict your past statements. The only time I will allow that is if that person makes an update video on that past opinion, like Savage Broadcast.(Now called Screen Critique) Because I've heard from someone that in his Review Must Go On video he says he'll never review films in theaters. But that idea has gone straight out the window! I know the one thing is because of copyright strikers, but I feel the real reason is because of his own laziness and he's running out of ideas, since many of his fellow reviewers already reviewed some stuff he'd wished he review.

That's fair. The review must go on was where he said he would break his rule if he came back as NC. I look up to Doug given that he's had to be introducing creative new jokes and ideas for the last 8 years. I'm running out of ideas already yet he's always managed to make relatively new ideas with his jokes. But that's just my opinion. I'm biased because I have been watching him for years. I could certainly see how his newer stuff would seem stale to many.

Well you did say you had some suggestions in one video. Why not do best Preschool Animated shows? Besides, children's shows may be a lot more smarter than you think.

If you give Suicide Squad a chance, it's going to be so much better. It looks like, most importantly, they are going to have fun with it.

My biggest problem isn't the tone, it's the fact that this feels like an overly long trailer to Justice League.

Precisely. It looks fun and energised. Not grey and miserable

Who gives a damn about humour in a movie that involves Batman?

Yeah, even though I haven't seen the movie, I agree with you. One thing I didn't like about this film and "Man of Steel" was casting Amy Adams as Lois Lane. I wanna see her in a tragic role where she dies at the end. She could've died in this film and have Superman just let it go unliuke the original Richard Donner film (No offense.).

I remember my favorite parts from the movie.
The trailers for Civil War, The LEGO Batman Movie and X-Men Apocalypse.

Yeah  Warner/DC tried to cram WAY TOO MUCH into one movie.  Yeah  Ben Affleck did a great job as Batman and  really want to check out the stand alone Wonder Woman movie when it comes out.
