Description
Be nice, you guys. My first tutorial.Ok, I can understand that Kaa has been the reigning example of a snake for a long time. He's got that whole hypnotic-coily-expression thing going on, and a lot of people like that. But it's been too long. It's time he was dethroned.
I give you here the tools to make a new era of snake anthros. An era where maybe, just maybe, the snakes are unique, and thick, and have some substance.
The first three steps are for those who will take the challenge and draw something unique. Steps 4 and 5 are useful to the Kaa fiends, too.
Snake photos by *Blepharopsis , who unfortunately did not reply to my note requesting to use his pictures. If they ask me to, I will swap these pictures out for something else. :3

I just hope to see more creativity. A DD would be nice, too, of course, but I'd be happy with creativity. :3

Unless your settings are very different than mine, if you scroll down to the bottom of your message center there should be a set of pictures. Those are today's daily deviations.

For the artist, it means a lot of page views and publicity on DA as well as an award for excellence. Kind of an aspiration of mine that I'm sure I will eventually give up on.

Nope. I have some very popular pics, and my skill has gotten better, but I've never had a DD.

I was scrolling down, nodding my head going: "Yeah, yeah, this is pretty good. Oooh, she took my advic-" Then there was a following of drink gagging and giggle fitting that resulted from the snake expression that looked like 'e3e'

Does "Kaa-type" mean the snake is a boa or python or does it mean that it has a really cartoony head? Or does it mean something completely different?

I suppose I should have clarified a bit...
Kaa, of course, is the snake character out of the Disney move Jungle Book, as seen here: [link] He generally has a squarish snout and those squishy facial features; the only thing defining him as a snake is his tail. There should be more variety, don't you think?

Ok, I can see that. Yes, there should be more variety than that.
