Description SUPER MINI! 2 inches high. I put a quarter, so you can have an idea of scale.

I also made Keisuke.

These two were an art trade with ~whitefrosty . She's making me some cute charms.

I don't make mini-plush keychains as commissions! Why? Because these dudes took me, no joke, the same amount of time as a 10" plush. It's basically all hand-stitched.

What kind of fabric did you use for the skin? I think it's really cool you made these!

How much would it cost, if lets say I wanted Jake the dog in this size?

Oh sorry, I don't make small things for commission.
(but if I were to figure out a relatively easy way to reproduce some keychain items, they usually go for 5~8$. I'll keep Jake in mind when I work on new designs!)

do you have the pattern for this?

pheleon In reply to ReiChro [2012-10-19 18:10:43 +0000 UTC]

sorry, I don't! It was so small that I was just winging it as I went along, but it's more or less a downsized version of the free pattern I have in my gallery.

I do have a mini-plush pattern in my gallery; I more or less used the same thing and down-sized it. (but for this specific miniplush keychain, I didn't record the pattern cuz it was a one-off)

That's so cool! I can't believe how much detail you got into something so tiny! Disappointed to hear you don't take commissions on these. I would SO get one when I had the money.

what are the arms made of? are they sewed, too? I imagine that'd be a pain to do, because they're so tiny...
and all those other tiny details... you have me very impressed!

They're made out of this fabric called windsor comfort. They're also sewn, and it was indeed a pain, lol!

Full-of-Sin [2011-02-25 05:00:01 +0000 UTC]

The fabric for this little guy looks different than what you normally use.. or it could have something to do with it being so tiny so the picture itself has to be closer up, giving a better view of the actual texture to the fabric. Or something like that. I dunno, it looks fantastic either way! It must have been a pain trying to flip those teeny tiny legs and arms inside out and stuffing them. And I can't even imagine making clothes that small, just amazing~

pheleon In reply to Full-of-Sin [2011-02-28 00:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Yup, it is a different fabric. It sorta has the same properties as lycra, but it doesn't curl, so it was easier to sew.

I find myself not doubting at all it takes the same amount of time as a 10" -- working small can be really hard! x_x They're so cute though!!
