Fun.
That 'More Shadows!' is such an important step to establish depth. I always put some rim-light on the dark side of the face to bring out more of the form, but it's not ~really~ necessary.

Definitely! I totally didn't realize my lack of shadows while working on it- so I added more!
Yeah I considered a rim light and wasn't really feeling it for some reason this time.

It's a cheap trick (at least according to my Digital Painting instructor at the time, lolz) but I always like to use Overlay at the very end with a gradient fill to really unify the tones. Good for getting that "big picture" composition resolved.
