No, I really was beat here...I just walked up 2-3 flights of stairs....normally no biggie, but when your wearing an extra 45 POUNDS of wieght, it is a little more of an issue...Related content

I sure love the arrangement for plates and gear, that and the color scheme (not only the markings, the colors themselves as well) give it a totally unique look - especially the helmet. To quote Jeremy Bulloch, "I am most impressed"!

Not all of it, the armor itself was made by Novall. He was replaceing a set of chestplates i lent Xian, and kinda got...carried away....

I know it's a ton of work to throw a costume like this on, but I would LOVE to see a picture of you wearing just the soft parts; or, honestly, just a picture of the soft parts all laid out on the floor so I can see the set up. They looked so great with the armor, it would be awesome to see how they looked without all the stuff on top.

Most all of it is 2 pieces, including the overcoat thing...although I want to remake most of them at some point. Especially now that I've made a very good flightsuit pattern.
BTW, I've got your Belated b-day pic finished, i just need to run overto the school and get it scanned in...

Lol, i was happy to for 4 days...oddly enough, at the end of it, you feel like you'd be perfectly happy to wear it all the time.
The hardest part is the first half day...not because 45 lb is perticularly heavy (or at least, not until you've been wearing it all day) but it weighs just enough to wreak havoc on your sense of balance. You spend all moring walking like a drunk before it straitens out.

The helmet was already warped a little when I got it, so I tried warping it back and the visor started splitting. After a while it got worse and worse, then I set it down on the counter over the summer and it shattered.

The helmet fits my head. Though you can see my chin when I open my mouth. Don't have the resources or time to make a decent helmet myself.
