Description
is running a fun contest. The objective, one must take an inanimate object and turn it into a pony.I went with a muffin for my object of choice, but I had a rather hard time converting it into a pony. In all honesty, I am not pleased with the final result. To have a little fun with the drawing, I added Derpy.
There are so many awesome entries already, thus I do not expect to win. Though, I feel as if I already am a winner! I really doubt myself as an artist and I can't recall the last time I picked up a pencil and doodled. The contest inspired me and I hope to start drawing more often again...

Since she is a fan favorite; I wish the show would focus an episode on her or at least have her interact with one of the main six ponies.

They did one episode where Derpy spoke, but unfortunately it opened a can of worms. Though, it was the minority that Hasbro listened to instead of the majority who were happy that Derpy became more then just a background pony.
I for one see Derpy as a great role model and not poking fun at the disabled. It seems that despite her disability, Derpy is accepted by Ponyville and even has an important job.
Rodney and I both wish we could be more accepted into the local community. In fact, Rodney was volunteering at the local food bank. The people running it saw Rodney as a liability and instead of being truthful, lied and said they didn't have a way to come and get him. Though, the food bank is not even 5 minutes down the road!

I saw that episode and heard people complaining about it. I didn't see any insults being made; just an adorable pony being clumsy. People need to realize it's just a cartoon with talking cute techno-colored ponies XD
That's too bad, people need to be more open. My dog Brutus barks at adults (mostly men he doesn't know) but he will never bark at kids or the disabled. There is a woman with down's syndrome that waits for the bus and when we walk by, Brutus climbs right in her lap. Brutus knows the good ones!

Sometimes, people complain just to complain. Also, the word "derpy" can mean retarded. I always though it meant clumsy, which it does too and in that case I am derpy, LOL!!
Yes they do! Rodney and I recently went to Disney World, as you know. Talk about a world of difference, everyone there treated everybody as equals. It was such a positive environment!! I'm not sure if Brutus would bark at Rodney? He walks a bit off balance and that might be frightening to a dog, though he does have a kind heart...

Brutus doesn't go by people's movements... he goes by their kindness and good actions... so Rodney and he would hit it off!

That is SO cute! I hope they allow Derpy back. Or maybe JanAnimations can make a few episodes and post them on Youtube. Her fan fic animations is just as good as the original show and I bet she would pull hasbro into giving Derpy an episode all her own XD She's starting a series with staring a background colt named Button Mash... Well, Derpy was hidden in the background of the season finale about 3 times. At one point, she even winked and many fans speculate that means she will be back...
I don't know if Hasbro would be so willing to let someone else make an episode about Derpy?! Then again, she is a money maker! That brief episode about Button Mash was cute...

That same fan animator made a short sing a long called meet the bronies and John and Tara (who voiced Discord and Twilight) sung it and Laura Feist helped write it, so who knows! I know if they did started Derpy's own show, it would be a smash, without a doubt.

I saw that one, a My Little Pony community on Livejournal linked it. I still don't think Hasbro would go for it. As it is, they pretty much removed Derpy from this past season...

I kept getting a sheep or poodle vibe the whole time I worked on this piece. Originally, I had the bumpy muffin bits more round which made him look even more sheepish. I'm glad you like it...
