Halloween has always been my favorite time of year. While I don't really get to do anything to celebrate anymore, I can at least celebrate through my art, which is just as awesome.

Just like earlier this year, a decision was made to enter another exchange. The theme this time obviously was Halloween. My exchange person this time around is Cecce, you can view their artworks on Twitter. They had several characters to choose from, but I instantly fell in love with their Demon Hunter, Kinara.

A mistake of not working on this piece right away was made, as I kept focusing on my own personal pieces. Finally, on the 14th of this month, model clean-up promptly began. A different outfit had been chosen, but a friend of mine mentioned the witch costume Mercy from Overwatch wears. How popular and unique it is, this also gave me the excellent opportunity to work with assets outside of World of Warcraft and Sims for a change. Thanks to Sticklove here on DeviantArt, I was able to procure the necessary outfit. Surprisingly, it fit so well on Kinara, that the outfit was meant to be!

The original location planned for this scene was going to be at Goldshire Inn, as Kinara likes to frequent Inns. She was going to be dancing on a tabletop there, but no matter where she was placed, I was just unhappy. Another area Kinara is often found in is the woods of Elwynn Forest. I logged onto my Worgen Hunter, Pheonixxfoxx to scout out ideal locations. This was during the time my ISP was crapping the bed worse than usual and Phe was stuck in the Stormwind portal room as a direct result. That is when the perfect spot was found actually, the areas covered in foliage, where the giant lion statues reside. Those distinct sections have that Elwynn Forest feel if Blizzard were to ever update the area that is.

From model clean-up to finish, this piece only took me six days. That is fast for me, the piece came together and I am very pleased with the final result.
