Description
It has been over 6 months since beginning the incredible journey known as Blender. In my unbiased opinion, there is no better way to joyfully celebrate than to remake one of the earliest pieces I carefully created. It can be a great way to reflect on how far an artist has come. Naturally, there is still a lot for this artist to learn.

Not my very first attempt at Blender, "The Bonds of Love" was the second unique piece I created, and it honestly holds more meaning to me. That and with Valentine's Day around the corner, there couldn't have been a more suitable candidate.

The Bonds of Love - August 2020

I precisely recall spreading my wings a little too fast on the original, but that didn't halt me. I left many elements out that were present in the previous version. The beloved pets, for one, were moderately distracting and not really a key part of the story being told in the image. Don't get me wrong, Mudwiggle and Cap'n Crackers are important, they just can't worm their way into every Blender piece.

The story behind this:

"Pete and Pheonix were overjoyed to learn that the other was alive and thus a secret reunion was arranged. After the horrific attack on Gilneas, they each thought the other lost. In a way, they were, as the events that unfolded that day had not only changed but cursed them as well. This brought both of them fear and worry, would there be rejection?
In the end, it didn't matter; the moment they set eyes on one another all seemed right with the world again. The love they share is not biased to their new outwardly appearances, what they have is stronger than any curse. Pete and Pheonix savored every second of that moment for they didn't know when they would have a chance to be together again."

There is much genuine appreciation for all those who have shown support over these 6+ months, I sincerely hope everyone will continue on this journey with me.
