Finally got this finished! I started it a while ago but got stuck for a bit on the lighting on his legs.Also there's pretty much NO fanart of the Mark 2 Metallix anywhere! (I even looked under "Mecha Metallix, but ehum.. nothing really there either.)
I mostly did this as a ref for myself as even in the STC issue he appears in... his design is -at a glance- solid, but little details were completely inconsistent. I thought his 'shoes' were silver for the few years I've known the character, but really -out of the 6 times his 'shoes' are on panel- 4 times they're red BUT the 2 times they're silver are in the big closeups! He also only have 4 fingers oddly enough.
He was also missing his ears on one panel XP
Hence my burning need for a ref for him.

I think it was less that he had only four fingers and more his knuckles had these weird bubbly things on them - those were weird.

Well without these bubbly things he would look like he had no knuckels because Metal doesn't bend like that ... But than again regular Metal Sonic also doesn't have them and instead just one yellow plate as a Hand ... + Fingers

True, but also at least modern Metal has joints in his fingers and hands
(also props to the comic artist who drew the regular metallix because their jointless fingers don't bend at all - I thought that was neat when I was scanning through for refs)

They don't move at all? Well that is neat to know. The comic artist really had a little challenge here

Yeah! They can only move their fingers at the ball points on the knuckles. It was pretty noticeable whenever they held something or tried to make a fist. I loved that the artist did that tho instead of making the jointless metal bend like most artist would've.
