The fourth and final character redesign in this Sonic fan art series. The core three had been done: Sonya (Sonic), Miette (Tails), and Kitalia (Knuckles). Now, it was time for the fourth main character. No, not Eggman, though he was definitely one of our possible additions at the time. Yes, I consider Shadow a main character, even though he's been horribly misused at times. (Sega, at least wait ONE game before you bring back the character that tragically and unexpectedly died!) Shadow-haters need not comment, I've already heard it all, thank you very much. Drooling Shadow fangirls are also discouraged from worshipping this alternate version of their idol. But I can't stop any of you, and I won't try.

Part 4 of 4 in this fan-art series. We had considered doing more, but the project kind of dropped off the radar after that. And there was no way in hell we were doing every character. There are still some shelved ideas we have tucked away somewhere, but it's unlikely we'll revive it unless there's demand.

I love this design, but there are elements I probably could have colored better, if only because of how it scanned. First off, we dropped the red streaks on her arm, which would have broken it up when placed in the foreground of her "hair", even though it probably would have looked horrible. There was a definite difference between the lines and coloring that made the lines more visible in the original piece, but the scan didn't pick that up. I also loved the color I chose for the shirt, but the way it scanned seems to make it contrast too much with the brighter colors and not enough with the abundance of black. Maybe it would have been better to use the silver-gray coloring for a layered look under her t-shirt as well as the tights, but the project is over and done now. As of this moment, I have no intention of recoloring. I'm not that dissatisfied with it, especially since the original piece looks much better than the scan. But these are things I may consider, should the project be revived somehow.
